Our Dew of Heaven:
This week’s Dew of Heaven is Luminaries—light-bearers who brighten the world with purpose, energy, and passion. Luminaries are not conformers but transformers. They live to make a difference, leaving the world better than they found it.
Picture a world without light—a realm engulfed in perpetual darkness, where the sun never rises and stars never shine. Fear and uncertainty dominate such a world. Now, envision a world illuminated by the sun, moon, and stars—a place where life thrives. Luminaries are the bearers of that light, bringing hope and clarity to a dark world.
Believers are described as sons of light and sons of the day, called to shine brightly in a world desperate for direction. Just as stars light up the night sky, we are called to illuminate the paths of those around us.
Jesus affirms our identity in Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” As Christ’s light-bearers, we are meant to stand out. Like a city on a hill, our lives are to be seen—walking in love, radiating God’s truth, and inspiring others to glorify Him (Matthew 5:16).
Like the sun, your life should be a consistent source of warmth, love, and compassion, drawing others to Christ. As luminaries, we are entrusted with the sacred task of shining in dark places, reflecting the light of Jesus in our actions.
Let us embrace this calling with joy and purpose, knowing that every time we shine, we glorify Jesus—the true Light of the world.
Declaration:
I declare that I am a Luminary. I shine brightly in my world. My path grows brighter each day, leading to the perfect light of day. I am strengthened in Jesus’ name, Amen!!!
