Scriptural Reference:
“And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.’” – 2 Corinthians 6:16
Our Dew of Heaven:
This week, our theme is “God Lives in You.” The truth that your body is the temple of God is a profound blessing. Imagine the Almighty God, the Creator of all things, choosing to make His home within you—you carry His divine presence inside you.
There is power in the word “within.” When God says, “I will put My Spirit within you,” it means His Spirit truly resides in you. As He was with the disciples, His Spirit lives within us today. Yet, how often do we overlook this extraordinary reality?
Where the Holy Spirit Lives
1 Corinthians 3:16 reminds us, “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?” This truth reflects the image of the Old Testament temple. Our bodies are like the outer court, while our minds, will, and emotions are like the inner court. But within us lies the Holy of Holies, the sacred place where the Spirit of God dwells.
This is where the Holy Spirit lives, deep within our spirit. Knowing that the Holy of Holies is within you can transform how you see yourself. Verse 17 (of 1 Corinthians 3) emphasizes, “The temple of God is holy, and that temple is you.” Understanding this can uplift your self-image, knowing you carry the Holy of Holies within.
Always be aware of what your body has become—the temple of God.
Declaration:
I declare that my body is the temple of God. The indwelling presence of God is within me. Therefore, Christ in me is the hope of glory, the hope of success, and the source of all that is good in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!!!
