But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my
witnesses, telling people about me everywhere–in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. – Acts 1:8
Our Dew of Heaven:
Our Dew of Heaven this week is Inherent Power. The word “Power” in the New Testament comes from the Greek word dunamis, which suggests ability, might, or strength.
There are many kinds of power in the world: spiritual power, Political power, economic power, and so on. However, in our Dew of Heaven this week, our emphasis is on Spiritual Power.
Power can be defined as the ability to effect a change. In our theme verse today, the Lord is telling us we will receive power after the Holy Spirit is come upon us. Therefore, if you have received the Holy Spirit, then you’ve received the miracle-working power of God in you; you can change anything that needs changing. If you are uncomfortable with anything in your life, our verse today tells us it can be changed; that is, you have received the Gift of the Holy Spirit – you have to realize that His power is made available to you. So go ahead and make the necessary changes in your life today.
We can activate the power of God to work mightily in our lives. One way to activate your power is by praying in the spirit (praying in tongues). Another way to activate the power of God is through Praise and Worship. Let’s stir up the inherent power of God in us to work dynamically in our lives.
Declaration:
I declare that the power of God is working mightily in me, causing positive changes in my life. In Jesus’s name, amen!
